à propos

La Samaritaine as a huge ship, from which to observe Paris – this is how the photographer got to grips with the building during her wanderings, taking advantage of the windows, the openings, the frames within the frame, and turning it into an observatory. A specific aspect offers her what she loves: a combination of shades of grey juxtaposed with intense light and deep blacks, the fine grain of the Polaroid and its compounds, and the drips and dust on the window panes. Timeless, in absolute silence, contemplation takes over – the greys blending elegantly and effortlessly to create a fleeting glimpse out towards the exterior, never static but always sensual.
