The world, and experiences of the world, cannot be limited to photographs. So for this photographer who discovers, who marvels and is fascinated by a world through which he can glide effortlessly, along corridors, up and down stairs, across wide-open spaces, these are the impressions created - and made possible - by the light, which is the most important element. Nothing is clear, yet everything is there, recognisable, reconstructed as visions of a weightless, timeless world. Openings to the outside, a cityscape seen from afar and marked by imperfections linked to style and fragility, diving towards the light with a dreamlike yet dangerous tension and instability.  Given this visual and experiential consistency, even the addition of colour - rare for this artist - brings no extra realism to his subjects.
