Isabel Munoz

Isabel Munoz’s work focusses on a balance between form and sensuality. Spoiled for choice by La Samaritaine’s ornamental motifs and wrought iron, she painstakingly captures the beams of light which enhance them and reveal the nuances of the various tones. She focusses in and frames specific details – an approach she particularly favours, likening them to bodies and dance, to encourage us to look closer. She gives us precise elements evoking the sculpture and the decorative alphabet of the building, and there’s nowhere more suited for one of the great specialists of the genre.
