In the footsteps of Monsieur Eiffel : from Levallois to Paris

A privileged partnership with the City Hall of Levallois

The exhibition organized by the City of Levallois from January 23th to February 17th 2024 on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Gustave Eiffel was the opportunity to form a partnership between our two entities.

Indeed, even if the metallic structure of La Samaritaine did not come directly from Gustave Eiffel's workshops in Levallois, it uses all its techniques. Its cutting-edge architect, Frantz Jourdain, convinced of the use of iron and glass since the Universal Exhibition of 1889 (Eiffel Tower, Galerie des Machines) used all these principles during the construction of the Store 2  of la Samaritaine in the Art Nouveau style between 1904 and 1910.

Some of our photos from our collections were exhibited within the very original scenography, between period costumes, small Eiffel Towers, and beautiful historical reconstructions.

We thank the city of Levallois and its teams for inviting us to participate in this beautiful event.
