With more than 200,000 visitors, the general public honored the exceptional places and know-how of the LVMH Group’s Maisons by coming to meet those who embody them, craftsmen and creators, for this 5th edition of LVMH’s Les Journées Particulières, which was held from October 14 to 16 in 15 countries around the world. No less than 57 Maisons opened their doors in 93 different locations.

At La Samaritaine, guided tours led by historians and peppered with surprises marked out these three days. Thus, Jean-François Lagneau, Chief Architect of Historic Monuments was able to recount the great epic story of the department store and the rebirth of its sumptuous decorations; Hubert de Malherbe, the famous designer, was able to tell its vision and concept for the beauty space, to date, the largest in Europe; finally, Célia Marcet, a gold leaf gilder, enchanted visitors by demonstrating her know-how on the historic Art Nouveau railings under the large glass roof.
